EXILIA: New Single Sample Posted Online
June 24, 2006A 96-second audio sample of the new EXILIA single, "Kill Me", has been posted online at this location (Real Media).
"Kill Me" is the first single off the Italian female-fronted quartet's sophomore full-length album, "Nobody Excluded", due on July 21 via G.U.N./ BMG Records.
The follow-up to 2004's "Unleashed", "Nobody Excluded" was produced by Udo Rinklin and recorded by the infamous Resetti Brothers (Jörg Umbreit and Vincent Sorg),with Jeff Collier helping out with the vocal recordings.
According to a press release, "frontwoman Masha presents an enhanced vocal spectrum, expanding her impressive power vox with sensitive melodic passages. And new drummer Ale brings a new freshness to the sound with his dynamic, hard-hitting style and clever fills." "Ale is a madman in a positive way, and he fits in with the band perfectly," commented Masha. The lyrics document a new maturity in the band, combating female-victim stereotyping, opposing the death penalty and spitting in the face of nationalism. "The lyrics to 'No Colours' are directed to all the nationalists in this world who are ready to die for their flag," Masha said. "In the age of globalization, it only makes sense to think in terms of one world. Everything else only leads to senseless wars."
EXILIA shot a video for the song "Kill Me" this past Thursday (June 22) in Berlin, Germany.
